Artist-run printmaking development facility
Hunter Island Press (HIP) is a not-for-profit organisation with our primary objective to establish and operate a professional public access print studio in Hobart. The studio, located at Wirksworth House in Bellerive, provides a place for artists to create work and pass on our skills to the community. Membership, AUD$50 per year or AUD$30 for concession holders, allows for studio access and inclusion in HIP exhibitions. Members can also have a personal members gallery page on this website.

2011 Workshop Program
Our exciting new workshop calendar for 2011 is in motion already – it includes relief printing, etching, stone lithography, polyplate lithography and solar plate with Kaye Green, John Robinson, Iona Johnson, John Ingleton and Annick Ansselin.

Studio Location
Our studio located at Wirksworth House in Bellerive can be found by turning off the Howrah main road into Wentworth Street alongside Clarence High School. On the corner of Wentworth Street and South Street you will find Wirksworth House.
