Spring Bay Mil
The Spring Bay Mill group met on 28/7/18 at the Studio when Sarah updated us on her recent visit to the site. Thanks to all those present - it was great to get together and feel inspired about this project again.
We are exploring the idea of a ‘ work in progress’ exhibition at the Mill Site possibly before the end of the year or in early 2019. Work will have to be hung but not necessarily framed.
It is such an exciting project. The next meeting for all those interested will be in September; keep an eye on the SBM Facebook page for further updates.

Maria Island
As a result of the November 2017 Maria Island retreat, HIP is offering this opportunity for all members to make and exhibit some work about Maria Island.
The title of the show will be Ephemeral. Dates and exhibition venue to be confirmed but current planning includes:
- Exhibition on Maria Island in the Convict Administrative Offices
- Opening on 8th December, 1pm
- Day trips for the opening possible, otherwise potential to set up a second Maria Island retreat, including set up (7 - 9 Dec).
Work to be exhibited in HIP Perspex frames so can be 48x48 cm or 21x12cm or mounted 30.5x 30:5cm. We have shelving available so 3D work will also be accepted.
Any medium, any image any subject that reflects the Ephemeral aspect of Maria Island.
