A 1-Day Introduction to Lino cutting with Rachael French

Rachael French will guide you through the process of lino cutting.   Lino cutting is a relief printmaking technique where you carve a design into a lino block, leaving raised areas to be inked and printed.

Unlike woodcuts, linoleum has no grain, making it easier to carve in any direction and allowing for smoother lines and intricate details.

Once the plate is prepared it can be used to make any number of prints.
